Festival Details in a Nutshell
Saturday, October 9 & Sunday, October 10
The site is “the Green” at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC.
Huntersville is 20 miles north of Charlotte,
exit 25 off I-77 and convenient to I-85.
We’re celebrating the first American Craft Week, October 1-10, 2010 by producing a very fun Art & Craft Show. We’ve christened it “Handmade Here!”
Our goal is to present forty wonderful craft artists in a fun, outdoor festival for two days at Birkdale Village, in Huntersville, NC. The setting is perfect. Spaces are on grass, set-up is easy and there is a natural traffic flow. And our staff works very hard to insure artists have a good time and a successful show.
We hope to present a diverse, high-quality event with work in many media. This will be a juried show and we will look for representation in:
-
Basketry
-
Ceramics
-
Digital Art
-
Glass
-
Fiber
-
Furniture
-
Jewelry
-
Painting
-
Metal (non jewelry)
-
Mixed Media
-
Sculpture (any media)
-
Wood
-
Works on Paper
Emphasis will be on original work handmade by the artist.
For our first event, there is no jury fee and Maddi’s takes no commission.
We hope you share our excitement about Handmade Here! Please ask questions and make suggestions. We want this to be a wonderful celebration of American Craft.
