Donna Howells was born in New York but has lived in the South for over thirty years. She suffered severe depression after the death of her infant son and turned to Jesus and the Bible for rescue. As her paintings depict, she has an abiding interest in the Biblical forecast for the end of the world. Many of her paintings concern ‘the Rapture” the time that the living believers shed their earthly bodies and join those that have gone before them to be with their Lord in heaven for eternity. Her paintings are rich in color, detail and storytelling. Many have hand-painted frames complimenting the piece and adding another layer of interest.
