Cornbread, as everyone calls him, was raised on a rural farm in Lumpkin County, Georgia. The material for his rich paintings comes from his experience with these farm animals and the wild ones in lush countryside. In 1995, he was inspired to start painting these animals, as a way of telling their story and preserving them against the encroaching Atlanta growth. Cornbread paints guinea hens, foxes, birds and fish, all with an expert eye and a wonderful graphic quality
