The 2009 Carolina Folk Art Festival will be held the third weekend in May.
Saturday, May 17, 10am to 6pm
Sunday, May 18, noon to 6pm
The site is “the Green” at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC. Huntersville is 20 miles north of Charlotte, exit 25 off I-77 and convenient to I-85.
Set-up for the Festival is Friday afternoon, May 15 after 2pm. If you set up Friday and want to be open for sales, it is fine with us. Or you may set-up Saturday morning before 10 am.
Booth spaces are a generous 10’ x 10’ (between trees and lamp posts). Most spaces are on grass. There is no electricity.
Festival break-down is after 6 p.m. on, Sunday, no exceptions.
Respond early and save!
Booth fee is $195.00 postmarked by February 28th, 2009.
Booth fee after March 1 is $250.00.
There is no application fee. Maddi’s takes no commission.
Application deadline is March 15, 2008.
Hotel info: We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sleep Inn, just a few minutes from our site. The Maddi’s Gallery rate is $77 per night. The phone is 704-766-2500. Rooms will be released April 15.
We also have a small block of rooms at the Quality Inn which is in the same location, at $74.99. Their phone number is 704-892-6597.
